Service Charges
If you buy an apartment or a property with common services, for example a townhouse, you may be liable for service charges. Typical service charges range from €1,000 to €2,500 per year however these charges generally include insurance, waste removal, landscaping and general external maintenance which are costs you would bear if you owned the property outright.
Utility Transfers
Don’t forget to contact your existing providers when you move home. We can assist you with this so that you’re set up with all services as soon as you collect the keys to your new house!
Legal Fees
- Professional Fee for solicitor – anything from €1,250 – €2,000 plus Vat
- Land Registry Fees – up to €850
- Searches & Outlay – up to €200
The total bill from a solicitor, including searches and registering the title could be €2,500 – €3,500
Pre Purchase Survey
A typical survey for a property situated in Dublin will range from €200 – €600 + VAT @ 23%. The final cost depends on the size, age and condition of the property.
